Jon Fielder- Land Specialist (Fielder Land and Home)

    Land Passion and Knowledge

Anyone that knows Jon, knows his passion for LAND!  Other than college, Jon has lived all of his life in Caddo Parish.  From and early age, most of Jon’s life has been spent at the Fielder cattle and timber farm.  Through Jon’s family history as well as his 30 year Farm Credit career, Jon has gained a knowledge of land that he loves to share.  Jon understands the true benefits of land ownership.  The market value and income from land ownership is measurable,  but you can not put a dollar on many other benefits.  Jon deeply understands the family and recreational value in land.  Just ask Jon the benefits of land and he will be glad to share!  Land is Jon’s language!    If you have any residential needs, Jon’s wife/realtor partner is the proven expert ready to help.

    Family

Born and raised in Shreveport area, Jon met and married Dondi (Realtor Team Partner of Fielder Land and Home) at Abilene Christian University and moved back to the Fielder farm in 1992.  Jon and Dondi raised two children, Nate and Bailey and are now enjoying the names Daddy-O and Darlin’, having three awesome grand children.  Currently there are 4 generations of Fielder Family on the farm.

Some Family Land history……Post Civil War, Jon’s great, great, Grandfather gathered his family and moved to northeast Texas after the Civil War.  They purchased 400 acres, which provided for their family.  They grew crops, cattle and timber and truly lived off the land.  In the 1930’s Cecil (great uncle) and Cyrus(grandad) moved to Shreveport and established Fielder’s Grocery.  They sold the business and purchased the Caddo Parish farm.  Jerry Fielder(dad) later purchased the farm from the family where many of the Fielder extended family live to this day.

Interesting fact #1 …. Before moving to the farm, Jon as a child lived just a few steps from the Osborn-Hays Shreveport Office in Spring Lake.

Interesting Fact #2…..Like Andy Osborn, the Fielder legacy involved grocery store business on Fairfield Avenue and in Dixie Gardens
